ARTICLE 2:PORRIDGE (By Angie Brothwell)


"Porridge, it is one of the best foods to help you maintain your stamina and good cheer over long hours between meals. Nowadays most people eat their porridge piping hot, with a sprinkling of either sugar or salt on top. They usually also pour a little milk or cream over the side. This is all relatively new. There are many myths and traditions surrounding the making of porridge. Folk tradition says you bring yourself luck when you stir the porridge clockwise with your right hand. Porridge is growing in popularity today because is a good source of complex carbohydrates which release energy slowly into the bloodstream. A breakfast of porridge can provide one of any breakfast anywhere."

MY COMMENT

For your information, when you boil up the mix a day before it is needed, you are made the best porridge. You can then re-heat it to your taste a few minutes before the eating. Porridge helps lower cholesterol and ease digestion. Porridge can also help cure headaches, heal your skin, and boost your immune systems. Some doctors also recommend porridge as a good food to take if you suffer from obesity, depression, or high blood pressure. Porridge is healthful to women during pregnant. So, if you want to keep going when all others give up, tuck into a bowl of porridge and smile.
